Visit by Ekiwah Adler-Beléndez, Poet
At 10 a.m. Adler-Beléndez will conduct a student poetry workshop in the Smith Center Ballroom, and at 5 p.m. he will give a live performance in the Smith Center Theater. For more about him, see the link below. His visit is part of the Kaleidoscope Arts Festival.

Plot Device: Media & Storytelling Event at Beans on Broad
The Stone House Center for Public Humanities puts together many interesting events. One exciting upcoming event is the Plot Device: Media & Storytelling event. Which will take place on Tuesday, October 29th at 7:30 pm at Beans on Broad in Grove City. The focus of the event will be modern storytelling and three speakers will be featured who construct their narratives through unorthodox or unique mediums. The speakers are: Tommy Thompson, a recent SRU graduate and creator of the "Dirty History" podcast, Stephanie Strasburg, a Pittsburgh-based Pulitzer prize-winning photojournalist, and Joe Wos, a professional cartoonist, storyteller, writer, and performer. Members of SLAB as well as FMLA will be present at the event to promote their respective organizations. It is a free event donations are optional and will go towards funding future Center for Public Humanities collaborative community programming.
